Loving Someone
If you want them to be miserable in your absence; if you want them to be dependent on you as if you were a drug, you better check yourself. At no point in time does love revel in the suffering of others.

As an underground musician trends to the mainstream, is it selfish to be disappointed and maybe even angry at this artist (even though he or she may be making this move in order to make a living.) Is artistic integrity worth the cost?

It’s always harder to climb out of hole than it is to fall into one.

Pentatonix | Somebody That I Used to Know (Gotye cover)
Eargasm.
It’s as if you’re saying that your suffering is that unique; that you were the only one in the world special enough to be cursed with this pain. The truth is there are probably thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people who understand what you’re going through. The flood of self pity you’ve surrounded yourself with has blinded you from the fact that you are not that extraordinary. Life is hard sometimes and suffering isn’t pleasant. It does sometimes feel like you are all alone, but you’re not. The lesson that self pity is selfish and narcissistic is one of the most valuable lessons you can learn. Don’t think too highly of yourself; self respect is fantastic, narcissism is not.

Area Kitty Upset by Mainstream Media Portrayal of Cats
Pickle, a local cat, is furious by the mainstream media’s negative portrayal of his species. ”Cats are often depicted by the media as poor spellers, many times engaged in an activity with some sort of invisible friend, tool or instrument,” said Larry Owens, the cat’s lawyer. ”Pickle feels that he speaks for cats everywhere when he says that he is sick of this damaging stereotype and how it is constantly reinforced by the mainstream press.”
Pickle is seeking a formal acknowledgement of the issue from the Society of Professional Journalists and plans to put together an educational packet entitled “The Rich History of Cats: No LOLing Matter” to be released this fall.
